Education & Credentials
A Commitment to Lifelong Learning
I believe the best way to serve others is to remain a lifelong learner. Every certification, training program, and educational experience has strengthened my ability to support individuals with evidence-based information, practical coaching techniques, and compassionate guidance.
While credentials are important, my greatest goal is to continually grow so I can better serve those who place their trust in me.

American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA)
My coaching certification allowed me to expand beyond education by learning evidence-based behavior change strategies that empower individuals to create meaningful, sustainable lifestyle changes. Rather than telling clients what to do, I partner with them to uncover their own motivations, establish SMART goals, overcome barriers, and build lasting confidence through personalized coaching.

American Fitness Professionals & Associates (AFPA)
To deepen my understanding of plant-based nutrition, I completed AFPA's Plant-Based Nutrition Specialist certification. This advanced training expanded my knowledge of nutrient needs, meal planning, and the practical application of whole food, plant-based nutrition for individuals across all stages of life.

Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM)
After completing PCRM's instructor training, I became a licensed Food for Life Instructor, allowing me to teach nationally recognized nutrition education classes that combine evidence-based information with practical cooking demonstrations. Today, these classes form the foundation of many of my educational programs for individuals, workplaces, and community organizations.
eCornell & T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies
My journey into evidence-based nutrition began with Cornell University's Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate Program. This comprehensive program explored the science behind whole food, plant-based nutrition and its role in promoting health and reducing the risk of chronic disease. It completely transformed the way I viewed food and ultimately inspired the direction of my future career.
My educational journey doesn't end with these certifications. I'm committed to lifelong learning through continuing education, scientific research, professional development, and ongoing training in nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and health coaching. As the science evolves, so do I, ensuring my clients receive guidance grounded in current, evidence-based practices.
I'm also currently working toward becoming a Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), further strengthening my ability to support clients through evidence-based coaching and behavior change strategies.
