Join us for our monthly Plant Powered Peoria Potluck
Plant Powered Peoria is a chapter of the Building Healthy Communities program through the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine
Building Healthy Communities is a global grassroots movement that brings people together to reimagine a healthier world.
Launched nearly a decade ago, the initiative was born from a powerful call to action in the award-winning documentary PlantPure Nation—a spark that ignited a movement for change.
Now led by the Physicians Committee, Building Healthy Communities empowers local leaders to foster strong community connections, support plant-based lifestyles, and provide educational programming that makes a lasting impact.
Plant Powered Peoria meets the last Sunday of every month (January - October) from 11:30-1:30 at the Life Together Center in Peoria, IL (with the exception of a few special offsite events). During our potlucks we follow the gold standard of nutrition leaving the animal products, animal byproducts, highly processed foods, and added oils off our plates.

It's our first Plant Powered Peoria CAMPOUT!!!!
June 27th-29th
That's right! We are taking over Clinton Lake Campground and YOU should join us!
From June 27th- June 29th, come join us at the beautiful Clinton Lake Campground. Many of us have already reserved our campsites and are looking forward to the adventure ahead. Clinton Lake offers ample hiking trails, a beach area, and most importantly a quite tranquil weekend away from all the noise of our busy lives. We will do one potluck style meal during our event but strongly encourage all attendees to focus on healthful whole food plant-based options during the entire weekend. Clinton Lake is a cooling source for the Clinton Nuclear Generating Station and the water is wonderfully warm! We will be bringing our kayaks and paddle boards and encourage you to do the same if you have either or. If not, that's okay but you'll definitely want to pack swimwear and take advantage of the calm water. 🙂
Learn more about Clinton Lake Campground by clicking HERE.
Book your campsite by clicking HERE (Please note that Aron and I will be located at campsite F11)
Once you've booked your campsite, please fill out THIS FORM so that we can keep track of all guests in a nice tidy organized fashion.
Join us for our 2nd annual Fall Into Health
Weekend Wellness Retreat!
October 24th-26th
Join us in Grafton, IL
Located near the confluence of the Illinois and Mississippi rivers, Grafton is a must visit location during the fall season. From incredible views of the river to soaring high above the tree tops, this is the location we have selected to host our 2nd annual event.
This Wellness Weekend will begin on Friday, October 24th from 5-7pm (upon your arrival). I will have mocktails and hors d'oeuvres awaiting your arrival and at 7pm, we will have our first meal together. At 8pm we will begin movie night with my infamous water popped microwaved popcorn. We haven't landed on the exact documentary, yet, but we promise to pick a good one.
Saturday will begin with a delicious breakfast and a packed lunch so that you can go off and explore the beautiful area of Grafton. If adrenaline is your thing, be sure to check out the zipline and alpine coaster at Aeries Resort. If shopping is your thing, you MUST make a stop at the Loading Dock for one of the region's largest flea markets! This flea market ONLY happens during the last weekend of the month. Coincidence with the dates of our retreat? NOT. AT. ALL. Trust us, you want to check this place out.
You'll want to be back at our Air B&B by 6pm so we can dive into our Food For Life Class where you'll learn tips and tricks and a few recipes. We will have appetizers awaiting your return so that you can snack a bit prior to dinner being served upon the completion of our class. Tip from former attendees: don't fill up on the appetizers or you won't be able to finish your dinner! 🙂
On Sunday, before we part ways, you will be provided with a quick grab and go breakfast.
For anyone that cares to join Aron and I upon the close of the retreat, we will be booking reservations for the zipline at 11am on Sunday! I may even take a ride on the Alpine Coaster if I feel brave enough.
To Reserve your room, email me at plantpoweredpatti@gmail.com.
Be sure to let me know which room you want to reserve. A 50% room deposit is required upon making your reservation and the other 50% is due by September 1st. I accept Venmo, Paypal, Cash and Check.
